Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the single TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level names remained working.

Through our firm, you can register your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no particular restrictions on who can acquire a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
